Lanier Tech’s grand opening took place on Friday, October 19, 2018, showcasing more than 335,000 square feet of new space for the college. The total acreage of this campus is more than double the 43 acres at their Oakwood campus and will have the capacity for about 5,000 students- a huge enhancement for Lanier Tech. One of the many new additions is a Conference Center which was constructed and designed with the community in mind. The Conference Center will be able to be used for a multitude of large events within the surrounding community. Having six buildings the new campus has been named the first “true campus setting” for Technical Colleges in the United States and has been recognized as one of the most noteworthy accomplishments for Governor Deal as his time in office is coming to a close.
